A Truly ‘Viral’ Advert… A Billboard for ‘Contagion’
CURB Media and Lowe Roche have created a truly viral advert for the new movie ‘Contagion’… Following the theme of the film, which tracks the path of destuction left in the wake of a lethal airborne virus, an abandoned shop window in Toronto houses two giant petri dishes, the brainpower of microbiologists and immunologists, who had carefully placed penicillin, mould and pigmented bacteria in spots to spell out the name of the movie.

Urbanized… A new Film by Gary Hustwit
Mr Gary Hustwit has a new feature-length documentary about the design of cities coming along soon: Urbanized, which looks at the issues and strategies behind urban design and features some of the world’s foremost architects, planners, policymakers, builders, and thinkers…
The Film is the third part of Gary Hustwit’s design film trilogy, joining Helvetica and Objectified. To celebrate the website launch, he asked his usual collaborators Build to design a series of limited edition posters to be sold at the site thereby also funding the in production film. They are a set of four based on themes explored in the film, Housing / Mobility / Public Space & Infrastucture. All four are A2 single colour white screen-print on Colorplan stock. Click here to buy.

Paul Smith’s Limited Edition Posters
Sir Paul Smith has designed a series of four silk-screen posters to celebrate new movie Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, released later this month. The posters will be sold for £100 each, with all profits going to Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres. Smith has also collaborated with film’s director, Tomas Alfredson, in the early development stages of the movie, offering his insights on 1970′s London. He advised on the mood, colour and photographic approach to take. Written by Peter Straughan and Bridget O’Connor the film is an adaptation of John le Carré’s bestselling novel of the same name.
